I know both options suck, but looking at worst case scenarios, which would you consider to be better?

1. Lose to Auburn, go on to beat UF in the SECCG with a WAY outside chance of making the NC.

2. Beat AU, lose to UF in SECCG REALLY CLOSE with an even more remote shot at the NC and a rematch with UF?

Of course, I'm hoping to beat both...but I don't know which one of those options would suck worse.

Your scenarios are sorta backward. Alabama has a better chance of going to the national title game with a loss to Auburn and a win over Florida than they do beating Auburn and losing to Florida.

no shame into losing to a good Fla team but to lose to an Auburn team that you know you are better than says something about character. No offense to any of the Auburnites out there.

Yeah, I agree, but that's why I added the caveat about the outside shot at an NC. All things equal, I would rather take the path that leads to the NC, but it's a much harder question to answer when you remove a good portion of the probability of making the NC

Beat the shite out of Auburn of course, Id trade a crystal ball for an Iron Bowl smackdown to Auburn anyday. You dont need to ask.

Now if its a close win to Auburn I might just assume lose and win the SECCG.

lose to Auburn, beat Florida. you have no shot at the NCG if you lose to Florida. i know AU is a big rival, but you have bigger fish to fry.

I, for one, hope y'all win whatever bowl you're in. Same for every SEC school. I like the fact we're trying to compete in the best conference in America.

I think Losing to the Barn would be worse. #1 It kills recruiting #2 It would destroy a perfect regular season plus we'd have to live with Ultra-Flaming for a year.

The Barn would love to spoil everything that's why it's a must win game for us.

Losing to Florida simply spoils our chances of the NC.

I would rather have a SEC championship than not have one.
