They are ranked higher than Clemson. Did you watch them against Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, 3 of top 5 offenses in the SEC?
Held #1 SEC offense Ole Miss to less than 300 yards.
Held Mike leach MSU to less than 300 yards
Held Tennessee to 2/13 3rd down conversion and only 10 1st downs all game. Much better defensively vs UT than UGA.
You know UGA has the #3 rush defense in the country, well Alabama is # 4 .
Clemson and UGA are tied with 43 sacks on the year, 4th nationally guess who is # 3 ? Bama that's who. Guess who leads the nation in sacks? Will Anderson.
You should watch more football.
UGA has an elite defense, but not other worldly. Bama is still 2 scores better.

You must have slept through the 2021 season.
Home team matters.
UGA played at tennessee.
Bama got them at home.
Georgia held tennessee to 4.61 yards per play.
Bama at home held tennessee to 6.31 yards per play.
Bama is a solid defense. But to pretend like rankings mean anything is funny (rankings ignore the gaps between teams like ypp and hard stats).
