Miami hasn't fired Manny Diaz yet

I've seen the rumors of a potential mutual interest there.

But why?

What's the specific Miami draw for Kiffin?

We are comparing any potential destination with his current employer. Let's start there.

Miami offers an easier path toward consistent national title contention. Ole Miss will likely never be better than the fourth or fifth-best SEC program, and that's without including Oklahoma or Texas making life a lot harder in the SEC. Does that really matter? Riley just set those dynamics in motion and he was willing to leave a job considered historically great.

The Hurricanes program is a goldmine if run well, which it obviously hasn't been in a long period of time. Contrary to popular belief there is no expiration date on these football programs that can harvest their own backyard. Is sleeping giant too over the top for Miami? Nope.

He’ll be a single multimillionaire on South Beach. You think that’s not what he’s looking at?
