Honestly, I can't find any fault in your post. 
That being said, he's just not leaving yet. When the perfect place opens, he will either go or we will make it financially stupid for him to do so. It's not this year.

If Miami replaces Diaz it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Lane going there.
