That's right. Saban's record clearly shows he is perfect...NOT.

Shula took over a team that just came off of severe probation. He when 4-9 his first year, 6-6 the second and 10-2 his third. His fourth year was an impossible task because he had boosters pissed off due to him not winning the NC in 2005 and his head was on a platter all season. He could not coach without someone looking over his shoulder and basically had Mal Moore cut him off at the knees from a coaching standpoint. I would say Saban was on their radar at that time.

So, what happens if Saban has his average number of losses (3) late in this season and does not finish off what's become a NC season for them? What happens if the team takes a step back early next season? Will boosters be calling for his head too?

Again, coaching at Alabama is an impossible situation and I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

So Saban teams are immune from going into a funk. You're probably right. I can't ever remember a Saban team play really well for a good part of the year and then lose, I don't know, say 4 games in a row.

Let me say this, Saban can coach, but he is not perfect. Bammers look for any sign of hope and claim their 13th (or 24th by some of their count) is just around the corner. I'm just not going to sit here and take their "Saban made LSU, now LSU is going back to mediocrity" crap.
