I think the family of the victim should be able to tie him into a car and set it on fire

It's also to send a message to the rest of society that this will not be tolerated.

Very true.

As a teacher, when one student in a class of 25 gets out of line, you have 24 watching how you handle it. Same with society at large.

I doubt he has a penny to his name by now or when the courts are done. His legal fees probably take everything he currently has. His NFL contract is largely based on future earnings which based on what happened I assume will get voided. What little he might have left the family of the victim will get in civil court including any guaranteed future amount.

He will be lucky to make minimum wage once he gets out of prison, which is where he belongs.

He got a nearly $10 million signing bonus I think...of course, after taxes, legal fees and buying expensive sports cars, who knows what he has left.

Personal opinion... he's getting off waaaay too lightly. Should be a minimum of 10 years in prison without possibility of parole. His reckless and indifferent stupidity caused that innocent girl to die a horrible death. If it was my daughter, I'd want him dead.

Yeah, his signing bonus was $9,684,820. Not sure if the Raiders have, or will try, to recoup any of that, or any of the salary they previously paid him.

But between all the expenses you mentioned and the inevitable civil suit, any money he made in the NFL will be gone.

A life for a life it's simple, you take a life, you get your life taken

Eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind? No it doesn't it just leaves a bunch of one eyed people

He murdered someone’s daughter. His dumb arse knowingly got in a car drunk and the proceeded to drive like an arse hole. I don’t give af about football or what he’s done playing a sport. He deserves life in prison if not worse. It’s criminal that our society thinks this is even acceptable. Come get on a fire company and see this in person. It’ll change all y’all’s minds who are thinking it’s okay to be let off with a light sentence.

SECSolomonGrundy said we're whining for wanting a harsher punishment. Showing empathy for a victim of a horrific death is whining now.

Absolutely unconscionable miscarriage of justice. He should've served 20 years at an absolute minimum.

3 years is fricking insane. There are people who get longer than that for tax fraud

It honestly makes me sick knowing what a horrible justice system we have

I don’t dislike Henry, I do think he got off light.

I hope this has truly changed him and he does some great things once he is released.

Obviously he didn't mean to kill anyone, but he did. And should pay be more than 3 years in prison.
Should be around 25, IMO
