UF's facilities are behind most of the SEC schools, but should be catching up soon. The administration is more focused on academics, and the AD is a baseball guy. Also, Dan thinks he knows better than the recruiting services and looks for the 2 star diamonds...lol. Also, Dan's personality is a big negative in recruiting HS kids.
Being a UF fan is rough right now.

The University has gone down a slippery slope.
All the old big money boosters are dying off. I mean the ones with the really deep pockets. The ones who really contributed to the athletic department.
Due to admission requirements, there are no longer very many football loving baws and gals, getting into UF. Mostly out of state, or foreign egghead types, who don't know what a football is. Which seems to be what the University wants to be happening. President Fuchs doesn't give a shite about football.
The A.D.rewards mediocrity. He's given Mike White an extension. He is a mediocre to bad basketball coach.
He's given Mullen an extension after a 4 loss season. One where the coach admitted that he didn't give a frick about a NY6 bowl game. He had his team show up totally unprepared to play, and they got their asses kicked. And he didn't care, that they got their asses kicked.
He also pays over $1.5 million to a worthless fat arse defensive coordinator, who should be coaching at a Mississippi junior high school.
Scott Stricklin is a horrible A D. And the entire administration doesn't seem to really care. The entire athletic department is going to shite.

Lets be real.
You should have put this one first.
"Also" doesn't do it justice.
It is a primary factor.
