I've been around a long time and i've seen the greats.
Henry has my vote.

What say you?

Herschel, Bo, Emmitt and Henry are all in the discussion imo. I'm an Auburn fan so naturally I'm going to say Bo

What is your criteria? SEC career, post-SEC career, or combination of both?

If you have been around a long time
Then keep digging in your archives … Hershel or Bo are the greatest ever ! Arguments can be made for both , but equally the greatest backs ever to grace a SEC field

I started watching a bunch of SEC football in I think 2003. Darren McFadden and Derrick Henry are my top-2. Bo and Walker’s highlights are insane though

Herschel. That 1980 Georgia team wins 8 games without him. He literally carried them to a title.

Bo is the best that I have seen.

Bo followed closely by Herschel but good arguments can be made for flipping them with Hersch #1 and Bo #2

Period

End of Discussion

Herschel will unseat Tommy Tuberville as best SEC senator, if elected.

Walker then Jackson. After that difficult to say....Henry, Emmitt Smith maybe. Different time but Billy Cannon was dominating.

Henry had the greatest single season ever, but a lack of utilization while being behind other starters means his career numbers will never be in the discussion against other players.

Walker. He would plow through players like they were rag dogs. My favorite is the ND game where he flew over the pile at the end zone. Fun to watch

It's Bo. People the world over know Bo. More people know Buck Henry then Derrik Henry.
