Is there any ref more universally regarded as either corrupt or incompetent in today's game?

Brad Van Vaark from the Big 12. He's the one who infamously celebrated a t.u. touchdown in the 2005 Big 12 title game.

Who is the horn ref that did the last A&M vs tu game that threw that weak sauce flag at the last minute of the game to give them a chance to kick the field goal to win the game?!

Guessing every conference has their version. Some just suck at their job, but less than the other available options. Others, as you reference, for whatever reason demonstrate bias that is clear and repeated. Why the conference doesn't deal with that is beyond me, unless they were a willing participant.

Penn Wagers was brought up in one of these threads who was another SEC clown.

Yes he was the only reason Texas lost.

He was only one of a few honest Big 12 refs.
