6 national championships. 100,000 screaming Big Orange faithful beside the Tennessee River. We have our own freakin' Navy for crying out loud.
Tennessee has some of the best teams in the history of the sport- coached by General Neyland, who was the original Bear Bryant.
The list of all-timers is endless. Have you heard of George Cafego, Beattie Feathers, Doug Atkins, Gene McEver, Johnny Majors, Hank Lauricella, Bob Johnson, Richmond Flowers, Bob Suffridge, and Bobby Dodd?
And that's before integration!
Teams like Arkansas and Mississippi have had success in their past, but it was pre-integration alone.
Tennessee was enormously successful under Johnny Majors and Phillip Fulmer. We won the first BCSNT!
Lane Kiffin landed the number 1 recruit in the country just two months into the job!
I don't know if Josh Heupel is the guy to bring Tennessee football, "Back", but when that guy arrives . . . the Earth will shake.

And we were very close to toppling Alabama at one point.
I know we've sucked the past 20 years and those dreams have pretty much gone by the wayside.
For now.

I was starting to feel sorry for the vols but now I hope UF and Bama keep their foot on the Vols neck. Along with the rest of the SEC.

Even in the 90s your top 5 teams were getting bent over by spurrier year after year.

Make that 100,000 fans claim while you can. Capacity about to be cut to 92k with new renovations. But carry on.

Probably a troll account, but 1951 and 1998 are the only legit titles. The other four are bullshite. Either awarded retroactively and/or proclaimed by an obscure/non relevant media publication.
