Didn’t North Carolina do that with Mack Brown?

UNC never fired Mack.. he left for the Texas job.. and UNC rehired him later..

As for Kiffin, I do find it strange that he was in Southern California last week right after Helton got fired..

The AD is different and if that is his “dream job” then I would say it is certainly possible. That recruiting trip would be the perfect cover for him to have a sit down with them.

If they lay an egg this week.. my money is on Kiffin to USC right after the regular season. I would say sooner, but I’m guessing that he doesn’t want to coach there without at least an offseason to install his offense. It could help with recruiting if he left earlier though..

Last game is 11/25 and early signing period is 12/15, so about 2.5 weeks to get some flips.

Jeff Lebby might get promoted at Ole Miss if that happens?

TLDR: Kiffin to USC confirmed. Arch to Texas.
