Texas doesn't produce enough revenue to secede and fend for itself. It's already a relatively low service state that relies heavily on federal government to fund the services it does provide.

Texas would have the 10th largest economy if it was an independent nation. Texas lead the nation in exports with more than the combined volume of both California and New York. DFWIA was the top rated air cargo air port in the world. The Port of Houston is 6th in the world. Texas also gives more to the federal government then it receives back.
