Georgia blows a game every year they shouldn’t. Until they run the table, I believe they will do so again this year. I think Arky loses, but provides the blueprint for Florida to beat you. Richardson will be their QB by then and they will use Arky’s successful plays to their advantage.
Leach was riding high then we blue printed his arse. Now everyone does drop 8 Odom-style on them.
Then he turned around and mixed coverages all day and blueprinted Ole Miss' arse. Briles' knowing everything about Lebby's offense helped in that one.

Georgia's Dline is better than aggie but we will have opportunities for points if they ever leave one of their CB's on an island with Burks. Maybe even with Thompson or Morris.
I'm interested to see how Daniels does against the drop 8. He is the most seasoned QB we have gone against so far. In both Texas games we were able to rattle the young QB's. Don't think he will be so easy to shake. We need Ridgeway and Williams to be monsters on Saturday. We will see if Georgia's new Tackles are as good as their ranking.

2. A 4th and short run play call. Letting KJ take it instead of our smallest RB cost us another 6.
I remember this play. I was shocked they didn't let that big QB carry the ball. Was this before or after he got hurt? I can't remember. Maybe he was a little banged up?

A rare thread with good discussions. Please, don't anyone ruin it.
This has the makings of an old school type of game.

As I have said, and I know Georgia fans are waiting to burn me at the stake after the game, Georgia does tend to have one complete WTF game every year. If we get that I like our chances in this.
Honestly? other than Kirby's first year of coaching...I can remember one. South Carolina. The others were to an excellent Auburn team, LSU who also had an excellent team (twice) and Alabama. I don't consider those upsets.
All that said, I really like Arkansas and their fans. I hope you guys go 11-1 this year. (Do I really need to tell you who I hope you lose to?)

It was before. It's the second time this year we tried to do a hurry up 4th and short without subbing and looked like fools. We just aren't real crisp yet with the hurry up offense.

The one player that is being overlooked here is former walkon senior WR Tyson Morris.

If we try drop 8 on Kirby they'll run all day. Maybe in spots. I suspect much more pressure packages, maybe some 3-2-6 but more 3-3-5 style.

Burks will get so much attention that Morris and Thompson will get several one on one chances. Need them to win.

Our interior oline of Schaffer,Van Pran, and Ericsson vs Arkansas dline will be a challenge for us. If Broderick Jones can step up when called on Saturday we can move Sayler inside and move Schaffer to Ericsson spot. I noticed how much of a push Arkansas got right up the middle. They collapsed the pocket up the middle on several occasions. JT is at his best when he can stand tall in the pocket. We also have to be able to get 4-5 yards a carry between the tackles. Winning the LOS is always a key to victory. Our interior line (G,C,G) will be tested and it will not be an easy test to pass

Our run game is not nearly as good as it has been in the past. I'd consider starting with the drop 8 and see how it goes. If we do rip off a few runs, certainly adjust, but I think you'll see a surprising amount of success against our run game without having to stack the box.

Our DT Ridgeway is a freakin Rhino. One of the biggest surprises of the season for me. Davis will test our guys just as much if not more. Going to be some warfare in the trenches this game.

Man, I got the utmost respect for your team's talent, I've been cheering for y'all for quite a few years now, even back with Richt. I think this is gonna be a tight game. A slobber knocker. Hopefully we can keep it a 1 score game late.
Hopefully we both come out healthy.
I want to whip Ole Miss next week.

I actually just watched Stinchcomb break down why Arky’s D has been so good. I like the D against the UGA run game

Morris and Burks are mismatches if UGA tries to go man. I’m pretty confident in that and those two are the home run threats. You can’t give help over the top to Burks and leave Morris on the other side, and vice versa.
Arkansas is going to go deep at least 5-6 times during the game. Each game this season, they’ve hit about 3-4 huge chunk pass plays.

UGA is going to rotate about 10 defensive lineman. We will rotate about 5.
We rotate in more than that…
Williams, Williams, Utsey, Ridgeway, Nichols, Carter, Gregory, and Soli.

Warren Thompson, too. He is a very nice WR.

Yea. He has come along nicely the last few weeks. Certainly getting reliable. Wasn’t a bad portal pickup from Florida State. Would like to see more out of OU transfer Crawford.

2. Aggie's line didn't hold up well for the whole game against Pig Sooey D. But that Aggie QB had opportunities to make some conversions he left on the field. If JT Is as consistent as he normally is, he'll convert opportunities A&M couldn't.
It cannot be overstated how bad Calzada played. There were plays to be made and his crippling indecision killed nearly every drive.
For example, look at this play in the 3rd. Arkys defense forgets about Achane who is left all alone on the left side of the field for what would easily be a huge play and maybe even a TD b/c of of Achane's speed. Unfortunately for us Calzada is too busy doing his best Happy Feet dance while staring down the middle of the field to notice.
Jimbo's horrific play calling also cannot go unquestioned. For all the claims that he runs a stone aged offense that relies too heavily on the run he had Calzada drop back over 40 times and gave the rock to Spiller and Achane a combined 17 times.
Not only that, he completely abandoned the run when it was a one score game to put it into Calzada's hands. A&M's last two rushing plays were a 67 yard TD by Spiller on a 3rd and 2 and after holding Pig to a 3 and out an 8 yard run by Achane on 1st and 10 the next possession. After that he did not call a single run the rest of the game. So from midway through the 3rd on all he called were pass plays for a QB who is barely completing 50% of his passes. Then JImbo tries to explain it away by saying we weren't running well any way. Well umm... sure but why is the time to quit running the ball after a 67 yard TD on a 3rd down and a 8 yard run on a first down? It makes zero sense.
