Longest run to date is 24 yds but also look at starting field position. Vs Vandy I think it was something like the 28 yd line or some such, don't have the stats in front of me. Point is you can't peel off a 50 yd run when you are already at the 30.

I think Odom will try some different blitz packages and see if he can get JT to throw a few picks. On offense I expect us to chunk a few down the field. Get a pick or two and hit a couple deep and maybe we win

Also of note is that JT Daniels was number 1 in passer rating last year among all returning QBs in 2021 against the blitz at 141.8 according to PFF. In my opinion he’s better this year. He has one bad pick/throw this year so far. We’ll see if Arky can make him do it again.

I can definitely see us taking a big shot on the first play much like the flea flicker against State in 2017

I was thinking more along the lines of the jumbo overload on the first play from scrimmage against the Gators last year. A 75 yard TD run on the opening play would be nice.

We had 3 other games to get it done though.

if the hogs win this weekend. would you maintain this view? or would you then be hard pressed to find a game they lose by default through the regular season? I assume most believe (like I do) that UGA is probably the most elite team in the country, and what I find to be the better indicator is that they are one of the most physical teams. I like them better than I do Bama. this year's Bama team just isn't as good as they have been, and look beatable. that is primarily due to them just not being as physical as we have come to expect. they sawft. people just assume Bama is as physical as Georgia because of their name. the play on the field says otherwise. I think arkansas is the most physical team in the country. week in and week out they just got more of it than anyone else. Georgia is the only other team I've seen that looks to be on par with them, and they have freaks athletically. which makes them my #1 team. though like pittman said "we don't have to have the best players. just the best team" which if they win I would be hard pressed to find anyone down the schedule who I would say beats the hogs automatically. that includes Bama.

Pittman is the man, and that’s a great slogan. But the fact remains that of the 28 teams to make the college football playoff since 2014, only 1 team has made it without averaging top 10 recruiting classes in a 4 year cycle. Oregon in 2015.

First of all, the sample size is very small and teams gel differently all the time. The 2019 LSU team didn’t look like national champs in week 1 when they barely beat a Texas team that went 7-5. 2014 Ohio State didn’t look like national champs when they lost in Week 3 to a Virginia Tech team that would finish 6-6. I don’t really believe you can say anyone definitively looks “the #1 team” in the country right now bc you don’t know. The sample size is too small. A&M could go on to lose 6 games. That 10 point win isn’t as impressive, is it? My point is Arkansas and UGA look great now but calling this a “play-in” playoff game is 1) premature. And 2) inherently incorrect as well bc calling it a “play in” implies that the direct result of this game will decide these two teams going to the playoff. That just isn’t true. It decides who is ranked where in week 6. Nothing more. Not trying to shite on Arkansas either. I love what the hogs are doing.

Let’s look up our 3rd and short numbers before we say it’s not going well though.

Your head coach has openly criticized the run game. I’m not saying it’s god awful. I’m saying it’s definitely not great.

He's also criticized everything else on our team.

But the run game has not been great under Monken.

Yep. It’s an objective fact y’all’s run game is not great. Literally everything is a pissing contest with Georgia fans lol. I just stated your front 7 is incredible and I objectively critique the run game and all hell breaks loose lol

You said that UGA has been poor against the run, even against inferior teams so I gave proof otherwise.

Then you change the goalposts saying you meant situationally so I gave proof saying our 3rd and short percentage is above average.

Then you say our coach criticized our run game and I say he's criticized everything and even go on to agree that our run game isn't great but yeah, I'm the one causing the pissing match

Edit: all that said, I do appreciate your honest take and the ability of being able to talk actual football on here
