Problem is there's the part about "the plays weren't explosive enough to matter" which implies that he did think that Ainias got two carries which he didn't.

The only other way to interpret what he said was that the two running plays weren't going to gain many yards anyway which... man I don't want to think about the implications of Jimbo saying he calls plays that he believes aren't good enough to matter.

Best case scenario is that he mixed up Ainias with Achane but even then Achane only got the single carry after Spiller's TD and it was for 8 yards. I have a hard time believing Jimbo thinks an 8 yard carry on 1st and 10 isn't explosive enough to matter in a one score game.
