A&M's was well over 110,000, but that was in year 1 of the stadium rebuild and is not possible anymore.

The trend of cramming as many people as possible has passed. Many stadiums across the country have reduced their seating capcaity in an effort to create more comfortable seating.

We weren’t cramming anybody, that’s just the number of seats we had when we were redoing the stadium during one season. It was done in phases.

Umm... that's exactly what happened. They built the deck in the previously open south end zone. Combined with the old layout of the stadium we went over 110k capacity.

Once they tore down both of the primary (east/west) stands and rebuilt, it was with a new seating arrangement that reduced the capacity of the stadium.

That's exactly what UK did, they put in all chair back seats, widened portals, larger concourses, more restrooms, concessions, etc. Many more fan amenities/comfort, new recruiting room/deck in the end zone. Yeah we lost 8k seats but UK can still do upper decks in both end zones to take capacity to around 80k, which is plenty when you consider most schools aren't filling the Stadium for every game, seems like today's fans want comfort and amenities like in most pro stadiums
