Yeah, it's looking like Mac may have stepped into the awkward end of Belichick's career where he has jumped the shark but won't retire and can't be fired no matter how much weird, off the wall shite he does because 6 Super Bowls.

You'd think Belichick would go all out to win a Super Bowl without Brady. As it is, his legacy is obviously established, but with an asterisk kinda that every championship was with Brady. The argument that he rode Brady's coattails gained traction with Brady winning a SB with Tampa. Anyway, the Pats let 2 starting OL go in free agency in the off season, drafted questionably and still have a "good" WR corp, but one that lacks an elite go to WR1.

Yeah I really don't get their team building approach. There has been no indication that either Miami or Philadelphia were committed to Tua or Jalen long term prior to this season but they still went out and got them more weapons to give them every opportunity to prove their worth. New England has 0 WRs/TEs with 1000 yard seasons and a second year QB who played pretty well as a rookie with limited playmakers around him. In response they let their interior OL walk, draft an FCS guard in the first round, add nothing at WR, and hand the playcalling duties to a career defensive coach. Just bizarre moves for a franchise that seemingly got their QB pick right.

That was the one player in that draft whom I wished the Dolphins had drafted that year. Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic we grabbed Waddle. But our OL was (still is) putrid. Not only was we a talented interior OLineman, he brings a toughness and attitude you have to have up front. (Honestly, Bama needs that now). Love that kid.

Baldinger posted a video of Instagram breaking down a play where Dickerson was blocking Tomlinson. He seems to like him a lot.

Hmm, sounds eerily familiar, but I can’t quite put my finger on where I’ve heard something similar recently.

Dane Jackson was able to walk out of the hospital last night and is at home recovering from a neck injury.

Great news.

Belichek is a REALLY good coach. I don't agree with the OC situation and some of the draft strategy. However, the FCS lineman, Cole Strange, has been starting from DAY 1 as a rookie and pretty much kicking arse. The entire world was laughing at that pick back in the spring. Don't sell BB short.....

Not a pats fan, but I want to see Mac do well. I hope they get a WR in the first round next year...

It's not a knock on Strange. He could be a Pro Bowler, but it doesn't change the fact they could have gotten him in the second round almost guaranteed and maybe went WR in the first. The player isn't bad, but the draft strategy was. I guess they could always say there was another team poised to take him in the top of the second, but he was generally rated as a third round prospect.

It's really hard to trade out of late 1st picks, especially if the risk the guy you want getting drafted is present. Unless someone offers a king's ransom, the 29th pick isn't valued anymore than an early 2nd.

It was reported the Jets and a few others were ready to pounce on him at the top of the 2nd. The talking heads made a stink about it, but teams had Strange right around where New England drafted him.

Patriots are just bad at draft WRs in general...

This has been making rounds. Here are the Dolphins leading receivers and TEs in Tua's 1st two years and what they're doing now. Keep in mind that in this timeframe, the Dolphins also had a consensus bottom-3 o-line and a dickhead of a head coach that hated his young QB

2020:
1. DeVante Parker-1 catch with the Patriots in 2022
2. Mike Geseicki-Really good TE
3. Jakeem Grant-132 yards all year with the Bears in 2021. Injured to start this year
4. Preston Williams-Panthers practice squad
5. Isaiah Ford-Not in the NFL

2021:
1. Jaylen Waddle-strong rookie receiver
2. Mike Geseicki-See above
3. Devante Parker-See above
4. Durham Smythe-Dolphins backup TE. 2 catches in 2022
5. Albert Wilson-Out of the NFL
6. Isaiah Ford-See above. Not in the NFL

I have no idea why he struggled so much at the start of his career!!

Coop having a good game so far.

Would be great if he hadn't run out of bounds on that 37 yard completion.

Hot take: Joe Burrow is just a more hyped up Ryan Fitzpatrick playing with better WRs.
