It's bad form. This is what happens when you lower your head. You can't tackle what you can't see. Guys miss tackles all the time because they lower their head and the ballcarrier makes a move.



Good coaches teach proper technique. Someone sure taught Reggie Ragland.



This is as violent a hit as you're gonna see. Textbook form, perfectly legal.

Except homie was standing still, not running full speed and lowering his shoulder into Ragland. If you don't get low, they'll run you over and once you get low at full speed, in the moment, it's damn near impossible to see where you're hitting with your head back.
