I like Lincoln, Nebraska...and I've even been there in the winter. Cold winters and snow would get old, but it's not a bad college town. We're not talking Starkville here.

Saban would make any traditional top 20 program a contender, but he'd only have become the greatest of all time at Alabama.

People act like it's the frozen tundras of Wisconsin and it's not. The average daily high temperatures from Dec - March (coldest time of the year) range from 35 to 40 degrees. To read on here you'd think it averages -20 below during the day.

Why is that? And please don't mention the Bear and "tradition"

Lots of schools have had legendary coaches and "tradition" on their side.
