Y'all are gonna miss Guss. Oh and congrats on beating us on a meaningless, incomplete year

Never seen a fan base use Covid as an excuse like LSU fans do. Maybe your HC had no plan or clue how to manage it. Christ Saban had it 2x last year and never missed a beat. ZERO players opted out.

Saban also had essentially the same team that he had in 2019. If you noticed, most teams that did well last year were upperclassman laden teams…. Why is that? Bc most juniors and seniors have already played and had game experience with one another; and if not game experience they have practiced together during a real season. So they have been able to gel and learn one another’s chemistry.

LSU was extremely young; many kids never having played any college ball whatsoever. Add to that a new Oc and Dc and transitioning to a new defensive scheme with a d coordinator that didn’t even want to be anywhere near a football; much less anywhere near a practice. So essentially lsu managed to squeak out a .500 all SEC conference season with a varsity highschool team. That alone should speak of the talent that LSU has and if they play to their full capability; could be dangerous.

Last season for LSU was terrible, yes. But if anything it will be an advantage for them this year; because the same core group of guys got to get some valuable game experience together.

UA lost their QB from 2019 and 3 of their top Wr's and their RT on offense.

They also lost 5 starters off the defense

So no, it was a long way from being the same team in 2020 that it was in 2019

I mean this would be like me posting a video of Jordan Jefferson not being able to complete a forward pass in the 2012 NC game. 11/17 for 53 yards has to be some kind of record of fail

if my team were 5&5 last year I'd probably hope most of them were beat out by better players

really dont see why they think their Offense is going to be great ? Their OL was complete garbage last year...They had the 109th best rushing attack and they were 84th in sacks allowed. Did they bring in some wardog OL transfers ?

Watch and learn you thought the same in 2019. Ed O created the best team in history he can create another strong team

I can understand why a Gump doesn't want to hear about 2019.

but apparently you can't understand why it's goofy that a LSU fan would chide an Alabama fan about living in the past when the ALabama fan's team is the reigning champ, and LSU fans actually are living in the past every time they boast about 2 years ago.

Is there a fan base that doesn’t have optimism at the beginning of a season?

Well……

Your fanbase is full of hypocrisy.

You bitch and moan about LSU fans "living in the past" yet every third word that comes from a Bammer's mouth is about something that happened in the past.

Wait, so it's fine for the "reigning champion" to talk about it this offseason?

I recall last year all the script A's crying about LSU "living in the past" even though they were technically "reigning champions" at the time.

Like I said, full of hypocrisy.

yeah. I don't recall that.

You didn't answer my question.

Well I wouldn't expect you to.

You don't come across as the sharpest tool in the shed, sorry, no hate, just calling it like it is.

Last year they couldnt run the ball or protect the QB.

Should be fun to watch

I'm a LSU guy, and I really don't disagree with you. We're talented, at spots, but we've got some unproven units/positions and coaches. Even QB is an unknown.
