It was in GA around that time. Killed a friends mom dead as disco and the kid (my age) has had 4 bouts with it since. Last time was a trip to the hospital for 10 days, 5 of which were touch and go.

Ground zero for KY was Rand Paul catching it and doing a big fundraiser in Louisville and not telling anybody he had it. Very close family was there and transmitted it through their whole family (and lots of others in Louisville and Western Kentucky).
