Did you know him? People IRL are rarely what the media and out of context comments or answers to loaded questions paint them to be.

Walked up on him and Maris smoking a cigarette down below the dugout at spring training in Bradenton, Fl when I was a kid...broke my heart.

Pat Dye and Gene Stallings . I’ve actually had multiple conversations with both of them but in business situations. Both great guys who made you fill important. Don’t know if Stallings drinks but Dye did and he sure could tell some stories.

Always thought Shaq would be awesome to hang out with. Seems like a genuinely good dude.

And I would be content hearing the deets. You're missing the point of the thread question.

Would be awesome to sit down with Babe Ruth or Larry Bird, drink a Old Fashion and smoke a fat cigar.

If my wife is not with me, 28 year old Michelle Jenneke seems to have an interesting story to tell.

Either Harvey Penick or David Pearson. Maybe Nick Bockwinkle.

If you have not seen it - go find that documentary where Evernham filmed the team going back to Daytona after winning a championship. He makes no bones about working the inspectors, working the gray area, and all that. He shows you how, once they got past the inspection point, they extend the bumper out on the car - since the template ain't coming out again.

I did not like Gordon in the least. But it's a good watch.
