Look up AAU schools

AAU is biased to non southern schools. Look how long it took some southern schools to be admitted to the AAU

That being said

Top Tier
Vanderbilt + Utx + TAMU + UF

Next Tier
Mizzou + Kentucky + Tennessee + Georgia
(Georgia may be top of this Tier or bottom of the Top Tier)

Next Tier
South Carolina + LSU + Alabama + Auburn
(I view AL schools as two half of a whole)

Bottom Tier
Arkansas + Oklahoma + Rebs + State

To clarify AAU rankings and membership keep in mind when a school was admitted and what it has done since ...

Indiana / Ohio State / Missouri / Iowa were admitted over a century ago but not like they were really peers today. When I think of real research schools I think Minnesota or Chicago.
