Those teams improved as they came to the SEC(although Mizzou mostly benefited from down SEC East teams).

So if OU and Texas improve, sure they could do better. But the topic is what your past schedules indicate in terms of SEC success, and Texas is like 2-7 against TCU, and Oklahoma keeps losing to SEC teams in the playoffs.
