Yeah, the last few times I've gone to 5 points I always got the same vibe. But at the same time I only come back home during the holidays or summer so there no students in town, so I just chalked it up that.

I haven't been to 5 points when students are in town in a while so hopefully it's not that bad?

I spent 2 summers there when in school taking a summer class or Maymester
It was always decent not nearly on the level as school of course.
I did notice it got a little more dangerous during the summer for sure.
Probably because the lack of student foot traffic

The difference this time around was the amount of boarded-up windows and completely removed signage. Tons of spots that are permanently closed.

It's not just the bars, either. There was more empty shop space than I've ever seen. Was also surprised to see Grilled Teriyaki is shut down for good.
