Why didn't UT push for a Big 12 network instead of a Lone Star / Longhorn network? I call BS.

I'm seeing that many of you non Texas posters are tiring of their bullshitee before they play the first down. It is possible they will get no honeymoon. And it is possible they will be reviled by the balance of the conference.

You guys don't even get the entire history of the BIG 12. All 12 schools boards had a meeting long before the Longhorn Network was even thought of, and they voted not to have a conference network. A&M, Nebraska, Texas and OU all voted "NO" to a conference network because they all thought they could do better having their own networks. Years later, Texas decides to act on that vote and everyone gets their panties in a wad because Texas was actually the first to get their own network...A&M decides to run off crying like the punks they are and blame big bad Texas for their hurt feelings..The rest is history...

False. They voted no because it was a risky idea at the time, as the B1G Network hadn't proven the model yet. Also the PAC shows us that just having a conference network doesn't guarantee its success without a good media partner.

No one had a problem with Texas getting a Tier 3 network, everyone in the Big 12 knew that was coming when yall carved out the inventory for such networks.

The problem was when the LHN actually launched and ESPN greatly overpaid because Texas promised all kinds of shite BEYOND what the Big 12 allowed for such networks such as high school games and more than a single football like agreed. It was very obvious after the LHN Contract got into the open that Texas was planning to ask forgiveness rather than permission in dealing with the Big 12 when it came to the LHN and so A&M said frick that.
