Auburn and Mississippi State seem to handle it well. So does Michigan State and NC State.

Aggie needs to just accept it, be proud to be in the best athletic conference in the country, and work to beat Texas every Thanksgiving night.

That’s a myth. The Aggies are not worried about the third best team in the Big XII. The rest of the SEC doesnt realize what a rotten spoiled bunch of self entitled egotists they are. They ran up their football record against A&M mainly in war years, while they were dodging the draft. Since the end of the Vietnam war the record is almost even. They have a history of destroying conferences, making side deals to the detriment of other schools. But now that the Aggies have surpassed them they want to bulldoze their way in. frick em. They made their bed, They made the Big XII.

It was all done behind their backs. I don't blame them. Texas is a bunch of initialed whinny babies. They ruined SouthWest Conference and started the Big 12. Now they're leaving the Big 12....what babies!

The thing you need to understand is, when it comes to anything even remotely related to big brother, A&M collectively lose any logic and rational thought at all at how they're publicly perceived and just REEEEE into the void of "BURNT ORANGE SCHOOL BAD"

That is my big problem with this. I have said many times on here that I would love to put those bitches in their place (I'm older, and have a hatred for Texas that makes my hatred for LSU look like a cold dead fish)

I hate those frickers with the passion of 10,000 burning suns. And we would straight up smoke them on the field right now. But Snakey's antics have raised some red flags in College Station

Aggies need to get out of the old mindset about UT. TAMU will be the most powerful school in Texas in 20 years. Replace that wounded insecurity with quiet confidence. UT going to SEC bc they are declining and panicking. You should be jumping for joy that you get to accelerate the decline. And to be clear I don’t like Aggie sports at all. Respect the university a lot.

They could beat Texas ten times in a row and the embarrassment of this past week will still have the world viewing them as scared and inferior.

You idiots have no idea about Texas - you will learn. As for what A&M will do, I have no idea? I just donate to the school. Only thing I know is I am very much looking forward to football this Fall.

That sentiment is far cry from you saying you were on Mack browns Christmas card list and in the know with every fightin Texas aggie power broker

I'm thrilled about playing those douchebags again. Was hoping it would be on OOC game, but the alternative is fine since the schools won't do it themselves. OU? Meh ... could care less. As for Sankey? From what I've been told by people I trust (burnt orange boosters surprisingly) he straight up screwed A&M by keeping it in the dark.

Frick him

Eh it was before this. Texas is just one of those programs that fits on the “college football is better when X is better” list and we aren’t even if we win ten times straight. It is what it is.

Again you should thank him. If he had consulted the old Aggie mindset may have tanked the whole thing. Sports is just part of this. I’m talking about the power of the university in the state. UT declining and TAMU rising. This move will only help. All those old powerful UT boosters are a dying breed.

I think adding OU and UT to the SEC is going to really change some recruiting dynamics that have developed over the decade. The best programs - Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc - will adapt to a lower win percentage in Texas HS recruiting but this could really dramatically affect other programs who were developing a Texas-centric recruiting strategy w/o having geographic connection to the region like Arkansas and Louisiana.

Maybe Aggies have more insight and perspective than the rest of us born from years of experience with Texas.

This is the Texas way.

They worked a deal in silence to take the entire Big 12 South to the Pac before A&M left the Big 12. Only they were also dealing with ESPN on TLN. Many have suspicions the plan was to ink the deal on LHN, bail on the move to the Pac 10 subbing in Colorado and going independent.

It is how they operate. It is their MO. This is what pisses A&M fans off. A&M fans like the SEC because everyone gets to sit in the same style chair at a big round table. In the SWC and Big XII Texas and occasionally a guest would get to sit at the "adult table" and everyone else got to sit at the kiddie table

There’s a part of me that likes to see the Aggie trolls (which covers most of their posters on this site) squirm, but I don’t really like the idea of our conference dealing with Texas’ huge ego, their political nature, and their Uncle Rico attitude reliving their past days of glory.

LSU should be worried and should be voting no as well. Her is one instance where their overinflated opinion of themself will be fatal.

It won't help when Sark runs Jimbo off the field their first game by 3 TDs+.

It will almost have to be a Jerry World, Houston, or San Antonio neutral site game each year. The vitriol, fear, and resentment is off the charts over an action that hasn't even occurred.
