Ok the guard is coming down so dunk on me if you must, but I have to say something:
As an Aggie fan the last couple of days haven’t been great, and posting on this forum when emotions were raw probably wasn’t a good idea for any of us. But I am glad y'all enjoyed it. And I am glad I did it, glad I took the lumps with some other brave and or melting Aggies. I got more out of it than I expected I would.
Within all that melting and laughing at our pain I saw something very touching. I saw some of y’all support our point of view, even if you wanted a different outcome. I saw some of y’all trying to coach us to have some dignity even if it didn’t work. I saw some of y’all outright say you have enjoyed A&M being in the conference no matter who else comes in.
This supportive conference culture is the best part of the SEC and the part I have appreciated the most about this forum. As someone who has spent a lot of time on here it’s been great getting to know many of y’all as fans, and thank you extra those of you trying to pick us up off the floor the last couple days even if some of it was via tough love.
Post in this thread and I will tell you why I personally appreciate you if I can.

I know I like to give Aggies a hard time but I already know when the Texas posters are on here at full force, they will be a big pain in the arse on steroids. Best thing for the Aggies to do is stand up to big brother and punch them in the mouth and kick their arse in recruiting and on the field. That will kill them every year having to hear y’all talk shite to them.

I wish more of your fellow ags would act like this. They just need to calm down. How long have you been in the sec? You do know iron sharpens iron right. You have been through the sec gauntlet. Aggies are not the same little kids they were before they got here. The sec big boys won't let ANYBODY come in here and act stupid. Especially Texas.

As much as I’d like to laugh at you guys, I do feel for you.
Texas looks like the b*tch here though by tucking tail after destroying the conference and trying to come here. I wish only OU was coming over but looks like they’re a package deal.
No doubt Aggie put in the work and are light years ahead of them with a fancy stadium, new albeit overpaid coach and a rabid fan base that has something to be excited about

Aggies are part of the SEC and we appreciate and respect you guys tremendously. This move is a little uncomfortable for the Ags, but it is overall good for the conference. Sometimes you have to put aside some differences for the good of the conference when you are called to do so.
All that said. The Ags are going to kick some arse going forward so you don’t have anything to worry about.
Love the Ags and you are a great poster. Look forward to hanging with you on the rant for a long time coming.

Good post. We give one another a lot of crap, but the SEC is special and it's because of the fans. That's what makes the rant so interesting.

It’s good to let the real emotions out. No need to put up the front now. The gloves are off amongst the Ags and Horns (sorry OU, not really any hatred here). I’m ready to sit back with my popcorn.

It's not that I don't get it, I absolutely do. I fricking loathe Texas and I remember all of the horror stories that came from being conference mates with them. However, it's because of that hatred that I will enjoy watching them get smoked in multiple sports on an annual basis. They won't have the political stranglehold on the SEC that they had in the SWC or the Big 12 and that's good enough for me.
On the field/court, I'm not the least bit worried. It's already been fun rubbing their nose in shite routinely in football/basketball/baseball since we split ways. The fact we get to go back to doing it on an annual basis is only a plus to me. I look forward to watching that entire athletic department get served a huge piece of humble pie. The fact they came crawling to another conference because the one they essentially run sucks dick only makes it more entertaining. Especially after the halftime show Texas gave us in our last year in the SWC throwing shade for leaving, now here they are joining the same damn conference.
It's all about perspective.
