There is some truth to this statement. I’m not sure how the politics play out on this one. But at the end of the day, I think Texas could go the Independent route if needed, or at least threaten it. Not sure if that would matter either way.. at least it makes the off-season more entertaining..

I dont think anyone cares if UT goes independent or not. Good luck trying to find teams to schedule. As with ND they play so many ACC games and have long agreements already in place with teams.

IF you go independent you will have to partially align with a FB conference to get enough games in.
