He likely will. We have a lot of holes. Childres was a dead man walking last year so the roster really wasn't up to par. Plus Childress got by on development, not elite recruiting.

Looked into this kid more. He's doing well in Cape this summer. Read on TexAgs someone's cousin was a bullpen catcher at State and said this kid gets into 95-98 range. If that's the case Yeskie is going to have to teach him how to pitch. Could be a value bullpen piece eventually.

I think he is definitely talented, just got buried on a very deep pitching staff and then had some injury issues as well. There was a point early in the season where I thought he could be a contributor out of the bullpen, but it didn't happen, and he didn't pitch again after a midweek game on March 24th.
