It absolutely does mean shite. It means neither were elite qbs last year. In fact, as you yourself noted, their completion percentage was about the same as the true freshman at Alabama that was coming in with the 2nd and 3rd team.

There is a possibility that they will all 3 improve, though the likelihood is better that the guy playing with the 2nd and 3rd team last year will improve more, playing now with the first unit Alabama team.

Not sure why you also leave out the fact that he was playing in garbage time AGAINST other team's reserves also.

Most of the guys he was playing with last year will be your "first unit" this year, at least at receiver, the backs, and along the line.

You do realize Max Johnson was a true freshman, right ? Just as true as B.Y.

Also, you do realize that by the time Johnson was starting, Marshall and Gilbert were gone. Did I mention the walk on rb getting a ton of snaps because of injuries ?

Your point doesn't wash.
