Not specific to the topic, but ESPN Sports Science was a highly analytical show that would dissect game film and even tested some active athletes in an athletic lab test setting.
They had a competition for the Best Athlete of All-Time:
Bo Jackson- 1st place
He beat Jim Brown (2nd place) in the finals.
Bo actually beat Michael Jordan in the semifinals.
This was the BEST ATHLETE not the most accomplished or greatest champion but the guy you’d pick if you were competing in an athletic event but you didn’t know what the even would be beforehand.
