Considering we live in the most multiracial society in history, and considering that tribalism is deeply rooted in every human being, this is hardly surprising

That is what should have been said. PR should have come from the stadium at which point both ADs should address it specifically the racism but also any other raucous behavior.
Now can we address the real issue that Cornelius Vanderbilt was a slave owner and their university should be cancelled for unsportsmanlike conduct utilizing loopholes for more scholly's
