Why is everybody so quick to dismiss that this actually happened? I don’t see why they would make it up, it probably did happen but it doesn’t mean that the whole school is racist but I believe that it probably did happen more than likely the odds are that it really did happen and it’s unfortunate.
And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with calling it out I think every instance of this should be called out and anyone who argues otherwise unfortunately is part of the problem.
Just because an athletic directors calls out something that happened doesn’t make it liberal or racist or whatever. Sometimes people need to take a look at each other and more importantly themselves and fix some issues.

Why is being a racist such a horrible thing
It’s fuggin human nature you fukkkos…
People think this is acceptable? No wonder minorities feel threatened and unaccepted. Pitiful.

It did not happen
“ Clinton Yates, the journalist who broke the story was just interviewed on Finebaum. Complete made up BS. No one was even removed from the stadium. Also, Tracy Rocker is one of the black parents. I dont think he needs Yates to protect him every couple of innings. In fact, right now he is back tracking on Twitter with the "Mississippi State fans want to meet Kumar Rocker"
Yates stated:
1. He regularly covers Vanderbilt's baseball team and, at every game, "he goes to check on the Vandy parents because they have 8 minority players on their team, and, as a black man, he wants to make sure they're okay."
2. Before the game, he went to "check on" the Vandy parents. He could "immediately see that it was a very hostile environment because they were outnumbered by MS State fans." There was "a lot of chirping coming from MS State fans to the Vandy parents." Yates stated that he "could tell that the environment could easily escalate into something dangerous for the Vandy parents." Yates leaves the Vandy section and goes back to his seat.
3. Yates stated that he returned to the Vandy section in the second inning (obviously after Vandy scored 7 runs). Yates said at this point, he heard MS State fans saying "completely inappropriate things" and "vitriol" at the Vandy parents. Asked to give an example, Yates said MS State fans were yelling at Vandy parents that their "kids should earn their scholarships like every other team." Yates goes back to his seat and does not return during the game.
4. After the game, so-and-so said to Yates, did you hear what happened? Yates asked what. The guy apparently told Yates that a bunch of MS State fans called the Vandy parents the N-word. Yates said, you mean the fans in [Section __]? "Yes, those fans."
Finebaum then asked Yates if any fans were kicked out of the stadium. Yates said no, but some were "moved around." Yates said that "this isn't the time for me to give you specifics as to what happened. But it happened. There is no reason to believe that it didn't happen based on the environment that I saw."

Mississippi has the largest percentage of black citizens than any state in the Union. Funny that MS doesn’t have near the bad race relations that plague most blue states.

Maybe because a vast majority of the public is sick & tired of being bludgeoned with racism every time we turn around. Newsflash there are dumbasses of all different colors in the 330 million citizens of this country. Add into the fact that we have to sit through hoax after hoax of this crap that turn out to be completely BOGUS (cough cough Jussie Smollet). But Don Lemon and every other pinhead with a narrative will beat this drum for a couple weeks telling me I am privileged and America is based on racism!

Show proof or didn't happen. I believe nothing from liberals or Democrats without proof these days.

I’m rooting for you guys to win you idiot. I have family that went to LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. I’m not from Mississippi so I don’t give a shite about the rivalry or the Civil War or anything else the average Mississippian cares about. The only time I don’t root for you is when you play my alma mater.
Just because I’m rooting for you and I want you to beat Vanderbilt does not mean that this racist event did not happen I lived in Mississippi for five years I heard enough racist bullshite while I was there. To be fair I heard plenty of racist bullshite out in Oregon and California and in Florida but to pretend it doesn’t happen is naïve.

That's not the only thing naive around here. Get off your high horse and quit following these fake arse people. They are pissing on your boots and telling you it's raining and you are eating it up.

I don’t follow any of these people. I’ve just seen racism too much to not call it as I see it. Why is everyone so against the fact that it didn’t happen? Is it really harder to believe that some drunk redneck said something racist then to make up some conspiracy that everyone is a liberal and racism doesn’t exist and that everyone is out to get you?

This isn't a "They" making up. It was one guy who has a history of crying race.

I'm one of those "liberal snowflakes" y'all keep cursing in the comments, and even I can tell this smells.
Normally I default to believing the victims and taking their complaints seriously while the investigation is carried out.
Considering that the only proof is an uncited, nonspecific tweet from a twitter blue check, Vandy is desperate to not be the villain, AND the reporter had specifics about scholarship related taunts but not alleged racial slurs that no one recorded I'm going to call bullshite.
Oh! And fun fact that most of my fellow state posters are going to hate - y'all keep calling Vanderbilt a liberal school, but State is located in Oktibbeha County - nearly the only county outside the Delta to vote for Obama both times, Hillary, and Biden.
