I like his size and he is from GA so it's easy to not look impressive next to the talent that state turns out.
If he works hard, he could control his part of the LOS.

Might this be that Drinkwitz is trying to show who is the boss and then there is the bowl game between the two teams.

Austin Firestone comes from a good football program in the panhandle of Florida. They lost 3 games(1 Forfeit) his Sophomore thru Senior year.
He looks like a good athlete and he might have been overlooked in state that produces 200 plus D1 players a year, because he played in the panhandle. Baker could make him a productive player quick.

I think Slovis is a slower Cook. Bringing him in wouldn’t help us at all.

Just checked the 24/7 portal tracker. Not many QBs to choose from. Also running out of OL.

I sure hope Drinkwitz is waiting for the bowl games to be over to interview some assistants for the OC job. Maybe some coaches from the NFL. I sure hope he is waiting on for games to be completed so he can get a green light to interview coaches after games are played out.

If this is true, Drinkwitz is waiting for the games to be over for the ones he wants to interview coaches that might want to get his opinion on quarterback and OLs. This isn't like Drinkwitz has full control. Or else he will not get any good OC to come work for him. Some coaches may not be currently an OC. Like someone just below OC and is a good recruiter. Some can make the jump and have some OC experience. I am just throwing this out and I have no idea what really going on.

Grayson McCall and Sam Hartman both are now in the portal. Both would be an upgrade but id prefer McCall
