15 innings and 170+ pitches in one weekend. That’s criminal. The kid is awesome but shame on a coach who doesn’t protect his pitcher.

Nolan Ryan threw 235 pitches in a game once and had a long career. He’ll be fine. He hardly ever throws a fastball.
