Arkansas or Tennessee: Who goes through the NCAA Tournament undefeated?

Will both meet in the championship series with an 8-0 record?

Tennessee's side is looking suspect with a super vs Oregon and potential opening CWS matchups against schools like Old Dominion or DBU. Arkansas rolls their side with ease, with a slight speed bump in Vandy.

6 teams have gone the distance since the tournament went to 64 teams, but just 3 since the inception of the championship series.

2 are SEC schools:
2011 South Carolina (w/ championship series)
2000 LSU (no championship series)

Considering only one number 1 seed has ever won the tournament, Tennessee has better odds

I love this baseVOLS team. But I really, really doubt we go undefeated until the CWS Finals. We are gonna catch a few Ls along the way should we get that far somehow.

TBH simply going to Omaha would be icing for this season considering where Tennessee baseball has been for the past 15 years. We could get swept out of Omaha and I'll still love this team. They have laid the foundation for years of Tennessee baseball to come. Vitello has 30+ more cracks at a natty at Tennessee regardless of what happens this year.

I doubt anyone goes undefeated the entire way but I’d give the best odds to Arkansas. That team is just so talented

Doubt either does it, but I’d have to give the edge to arkansas. The team has its flaws and is beatable in a single game but not in a series.
If Tennessee makes it to Omaha they’ll be matched up with Texas, who is red hot right now

I just hope that Vandy, as defending natty champs, and the team with the best overall ERA and batting average in the league, can best prepare you for what's next. It's our duty...NAY, OUR QUEST, to help prepare Arky to bring home the hardware that last belonged to us. Happy to do it.

Vandy lost to Arkansas in the SEC Tournament 6-4 because Kumar lost his poise and walked several players. Without that breakdown, game would have been dead even. Arkansas has a very good team, no question. But to suggest the title is in the bag is delusional. And if the Hogs do win it, I hope the fan base is classy about it.

If Arkansas doesn’t win the whole thing this year it will be a huge let down. Super talented team with veterans coming back after the Covid-Stricken 2020 season. Easily the most impressive team in baseball this season. With how good they’ve looked all year it would be a massive disappointment if they don’t win it all.

Arkansas is THAT good...
Hell, I’ll even be disappointed if they don’t take it all this year...except if, well, you know...
But Arkansas deserves it...
