There is often things said publicly and things said private. I'm sure you can understand that. Honestly though, as much of a wet dream LSU fans have that BAMA somehow screwed up the coaching search, we hired Saban and won 6 NCs and counting.

I'm not sure what you're getting so defensive about, coaching searches are a crapshoot and require a certain amount of luck to get right.
Every hire is a gamble.
