In the last 70 years Alabama has won 13 national titles, LSU 4 and Saban is responsible for at least 2 of them.
Between the LSU national title in 1958 till Nick Saban arrived, none of the 8 coaches at LSU won a title.

Recruiting a senior class doesn't make someone "responsible" for a national title.
If that's the case, then Mike Shula is responsible for Alabama's 2009 title.
