Alabama is pretty generous with tuition scholarships, but I think they kinda jack up the room and board costs and fees to make up for it.
So you have a full tuition scholarship if your GPA and test scores are high enough, sounds great, but you're still looking at $50-60,000 in loans or savings to cover the rest over 4 years.
Vandy advertises "no student loans" if you get in...but the "expected family contribution" amount considers you a Rockefeller descendent.
It's all just a big business with huge marketing budgets. Don't get caught up in the emotion of it.
