The fact that this is a "down" year for Florida and they would finish with a Top 15 Director's Cup and Top 2-3 SEC All Sports just shows how incredibly that athletic department is.

I think this is actually a problem for Stricklin. May not matter at most schools, but UF is likely to lose the SEC All Sports trophy consecutively for the first time ever. In real danger of not finishing in the top 10 of the Directors Cup for the first time in its existence. While it shows the success of the program as you say, also highlights the expectations. Given the in-state talent, resources, academics and all the other intangibles the expectation is all around excellence. Despite what Stricklin has done on the facility front, already starting to hear the grumblings.

Kentucky actually has 3 National Championships this year. You didn’t include the sharp shooters. The real question here is should we be worried the Kentucky rifle team defeated Army?? Should BBN be defending the country??

Stricklin didn't cause our Gymnastics team to be injured or our Volleyball and Tennis teams to choke.

His only big failing was not firing Mike White after the tourney. All I can possibly think is that he kicked the tires on some slam dunk hires and none were interested, so he hit pause for a year and White is toast after 2021.

I thought it was still suspended for the 2020-21 academic year.

I'd like to know where you are hearing grumblings?

Sticklin was named AD of the Year last year by the Sports Business Journal. We lost the SEC all-sports title by the slimmest margin to A&M last year and are right in the hunt this year, even with Arkansas and Bama having breakout years.

The only sports we are currently underachieving in are the following:

Football - We finished #2 in the conference this year.

MBB - White has been an exemplar rep for the school and makes the tourney every year, so he gets a longer leash.

WBB - This sport is cursed at UF.

Golf - Not happy with the current sitch on both teams.

W. Tennis - Roland has 4 natties, he gets a long leash.

T&F - Holloway has 4 natties in the last 8 years, he will be fine.

Soccer - Burleigh just "retired" so he is fixing it.

What else?

What school not named Stanford would not chalk this up as a great year in all-around sports?
