By the end of the year, I off the top of my head i can count these players that didn't play for LSU:

Arik Gilbert
Derek Stingley
Racey McMath
Jamar Chase
Terrace Marshall
Tyler Shelvin
Neil Farrell
Justin Thomas
Kary Vincent (Drafted)

Most Started in 2019... There are waaaaay more.

A microcosm of the SEC in General as referenced by your many posters that say that LSU opted out....disparaging their competition, just like they said that ND and OSU didn't belong there.

LSU was not a microcosm of anything but LSU. LSU had BY FAR the most COVID issues in the country of a power 5 team.

The SEC, in general, did not have a ton of COVID opt outs compared to some of the rest of the country. LSU was hit the hardest and there really wasn't a close 2nd other than maybe South Carolina once their season collapsed and Muschamp was fired.

But yes, as noted, I'm not arguing best of all time or anything. I think this team could have done it in a normal year (and would have), but they didn't get the opportunity and they had to do it in a weird year.

kentucky was floating the idea of not even playing you.

let's not float this season as a regular 10 game SEC season. you can do that if you want....but it wasn't. still a great team and an amazing season.

but this board is proof itself. the bama posters had it right....OSU had no right to be there. beating these *teams is still a righteous thing.

let's not act like it was the most amazing season ever.
