This tells me 2019 bama was more talented and arguably much better than 2020 bama considering Smith, waddle, leatherwood, baramore, sustain, and Harris were all still huge contributors to 2019.

More talented? Defintely. Better? No. You need to factor in team chemistry and all of the other intangibles that go into it. For instance, 2010 Alabama had 11 future first-rounders on its roster - yet they lost three games. They should have won every single game based on talent alone. Why didn't they? Team chemistry and guys looking at their draft status rather than wanting to be part of the team.

Eh, you are assuming nobody really gets drafted off next years team.

But the big difference in the 2 years is QB play if you ask me.

ETA: Also LB play. 2019 was decimated at the position with injuries.
