It's been a while since I played little league, but only a few years since my son played. The discrepancy in errors in a little league game and a college softball game is enormous.

And most teams only have 1 or 2 slap hitters in the lineup, not 6-7. And with the movement softball pitchers are able to get on a pitch, not to mention varying speeds, it is extremely difficult to hit in softball. The mound is only about 40 feet from home plate. Walk off 40 feet and ask yourself how easy it is to hit a 70mph fastball, especially one pitch after an off-speed breaking ball.
