No but he is the only coach since. And he was the beneficiary of some patience from the school, which in hindsight was definitely the right call by Baylor, because they were absolutely dreadful for at least 4 or 5 years after he took the job. Albeit, given the circumstances, that was understandable.
Since then they're consistently a power and have really turned it up a notch lately. Gotta hand it to the guy
