Cliff is the ideal guy for us. He can run, is a rim protector, rebounds well, and plays excellent interior defense. Offensively, he's way more developed than Onyenso but still won't command too many touches. He can finish around the rim and score on putbacks. He's not a back-to-the-basket guy and did some damage in the PNR last year. Centers aren't going to be highlighted in this kind of offense so having a guy like Cliff with his talent and ideal fit would be a homerun. He's a Bediako 3.0 essentially.

Onyenso is a fine back up plan, he's just as good defensively but he won't produce much on the other end, which like mentioned earlier is fine because bigs in the system won't command too many touches.

I think Cliff puts us in title contention, Onynseo puts us in the top 10. Assuming Sears and Stevenson are back.

Positive smoke regarding Cliff to Bama this morning, he's announcing tomorrow but I believe informing the staffs by tonight.

I think we're top 10 good with Sears, Stevenson, and a filler big like Wague. I think either Cliff or Onyenso puts us in title contention. I think Cliff should be the preference because he is a sure thing, but as you mentioned the difference offensively between the two is less important for us. I also think the offensive difference is less than you'd think given one played in an offense that rarely utilized their bigs while the other was given a solid amount of touches. Cliff's rebounding is the bigger differentiator for me.

Like I said, we are in such a luxury position if we are getting one of the two. Worst case scenario we have one of the best shot-blockers in the country that doesn't show enough offensively next season to be an NBA prospect and might come back for a 2nd year
