I love what we had, but I don’t love anything about what’s happening right now. I’m just not quite ready to leave yet due to the memory of what was.

I have done a fair amount of yelling at the clouds about it, but even I can't deny that in a very a$$ backwards way it has expanded the interest of the college basketball season. For the majority of my life college basketball was openly discussed in public for about 2 months out of the year (if that) and as soon as March madness wrapped up it was put on the shelf for 9 months gathering dust and was almost sacreligious to attempt to have a conversation with someone about.

Now here we are in May and I have friends who rarely talk basketball in general, curious about how we are doing in the portal and about our own defections. The success of the program has certainly driven interest up, but it does seem like a lot more Alabama people in general are spending more time discussing basketball than I can remember in my lifetime

For me, it helps pass the time during the dead period of football.
