Arthur Kaluma in the portal. I would kick Diabate out to get him.
No, you have to have dawgs like Mo. We don't beat GCU without him coming in and one-upping their physicality. Mo also has a unique skillset. Great on-ball defender, very good rebounding instincts, surprising handle. If he can add a consistent 3-point jumper he'll be a glue guy in the NBA in the mold of Herb, Draymond, etc.

Maybe I'm naive but I tend to think Murphy doesn't post what he did about Philon and Cliff without knowing something the rest of us don't.

No I agree with you. I don’t think he’d do it without thinking we’ve for sure got him in the bag.

These NIL numbers need to get back to reasonable amounts and the only way that happens is if the worst offenders get burned multiple times. That, and making the athletes employees that have 2-3 yr contracts.

Being a college sports fan in 2024 is like being married to someone having a midlife crisis.

I love what we had, but I don’t love anything about what’s happening right now. I’m just not quite ready to leave yet due to the memory of what was.

And I'm a pretty conservative guy, but this current “no contracts, unlimited transfer” era is gonna get me ranting about unregulated capitalism like a senior with purple hair on the quad.

To be clear, I don’t blame the athletes, they’re just chasing a check based on the rules and the opportunities available. The NCAA and the federal courts are the ones who broke collegiate athletics and I don’t see how it gets fixed without federal legislation at this point.

Yep, like most things in this country, the “adults” in charge are constantly dropping the ball. I doubt any federal legislation will be worth a damn with the clowns in DC from all sides.

The problem is that legally we can't return to the old model even with legislation, and the only way to add structure to the current system involves completely lifting the facade of amateurism by making athletes employees rather than students with benefits. Functionally we're just cheering for minor league teams using the university's branding.

I think Jarin will get some good feedback and his decision will be tougher than even he may have first thought. But, ultimately I bet he runs it back one more year and then goes.

Wow finally my wife can relate to my struggles as a fan. This may bring us closer together.

Bet he transfers out within the year because he won't be able to get on the floor.

Reading the KState fans comments they all say he is a selfish, me first guy. I think I change my mind and would rather keep Mo D

Rotation will probably be about 9. I mean it’s hard to get rhythm or continuity with much more than that. The reality is we have four guys who will only see the floor in garbage time or against nonconference cupcakes. Dioubate had a hard time getting minutes this past season and we will be much deeper this season.

As I said a few days ago, Nelson is back, so we may lose Stevenson, Mo D, or both.

They will want to get more PT and roles than last season.

Unless Dioubate filled out paperwork last night, he can’t transfer for this upcoming season. Similarly, unless Stevenson did that paperwork it’s either the NBA or Bama for him.

Could be sour grapes. But who knows.

Hope Mo Diabeetus develops a bit and can be a good rotation guy
