Were we in on him? The program was so weird back then that I only watched games and didn’t pay attention to recruiting.

If Oats can get Sears back and they get Omoruyi, not only final four potential but they could win it all.

No, pretty sure he shot us out of the tournament though.

Oh I see. I mean that Nova team was going to crush us that year either way I can’t be salty at him for that. We were cannon fodder

We contacted Oyenso. If Cliff falls through would gladly take him

Wrightsell and Mallette are going to give us credible floor spacing shooters. Youngblood is a fantastic 2 guard scorer at the rim and another great 3pt shooter. Getting Omoruyi as a credible rim protector and post defender would be huge to pair with Nelson at 4. Mo D is the hybrid off the bench to lock up a troublesome guard or wing forward player.

If Sears comes back, this team is going to cook but I think the way Holloway plays is more in tune with our style and he has SO MANY kick out options on the drive.

I don’t see Mallette getting much time if Sears returns. Sears, Wrightsell, Youngblood, Holloway. He might actually re-think his commitment.

We run a whole lot of 3 and 4 guard lineups and he shot 42% from 3 last year shooting a high volume.

He's gonna play and play a lot imo.

We do play a lot of 3 and 4 guard line ups but you are right that there is only one ball and 40 minutes in regulation basketball.

I could see us playing a lot of Sears/Holloway-Youngblood-Mallette-Wrightsell at 1 through 4 if we land a top end rim protector.

Mallette is a wing in our system, he has nothing to do with Sears.

Sears/Holloway
Wrightsell/Mallette
Youngblood/Reid

We had Rylan playing at the 4 for stretches last year, there's going to be plenty of minutes to go around.

Two of the most important qualities in a basketball player. Can he do them at the same time?

JK, I know what you mean, that just struck me as funny.

True. But you might get the same number of shots up in 22 minutes in this offense than you might get at other schools in 35 minutes.

Very good backup option. Elite block rates without fouling, 72% at the rim and very good rebounding rates.
