Holloway sounds like a guy with potential. Trust the process.

I don't know anything but I think. If both are available, we go rèal heavy on their NIL... Sears, because he his the heart of this team and without him, it could go either way , and Nelson, because if he could build on his tournament performance, he could be elite.

I think Sears will go if drafted but will pull out of the draft if he feels a bad vibe. I am thinking Nelson is back.

Mac and Tim both have said JQ gave back what we paid him when he transferred. I can’t hate no more if that’s the case.

Yeah, no hard feelings. Don’t think we make the F4 with him over Estrada. Estrada was tougher, better rebounder, better defender, etc.

Thankful for the SEC trophies Q helped us win in 2021 and 2023, along with S16 runs

I wonder if he regrets his decision. I guess it would depend on how big of a bag he got from Memphis. If it was like double what we offered then probably not, but imagine leaving a Final Four team for that shite team over like $10,000.

It’s even bigger than that though. He legitimately had a chance to be the most accomplished Alabama basketball player of all time. The amount of SEC titles and him really being here when that switch started to happen. He was beloved at Alabama. He threw it away to go to Memphis. I can’t imagine they paid him that much more.

JQ should’ve been a guy we brought out years from now for a legends night or sold NiL bobbleheads of. Whatever he got extra from Memphis can’t be worth what it would’ve meant for him to be part of a team he helped turn around. Emotionally or monetarily in the long run.

We made the final 4 last year with a roster that cost probably 1 million or under.

If having the most money guaranteed you championships the Yankees would win the World Series every year.

100%. Though I will add, it seems like there's a lot of schools that were spent under a million last year, that have ponied up a lot more. There's been some insane amounts in the rumor mill. It seems $2 million is the new million.

So you don't need to be the Yankees to win, you also don't want to be Oakland.

If the Number Jeff Goodman put out is true and we really only had $900k for the whole roster then that is pathetic for an SEC basketball program. Glad we have a lot more now.

We had more last year we just didn’t need to spend more. Nobody on our team was super expensive. Nelson probably got the most money.

I’m no GM but it makes no sense to spend every dime allotted if the roster can be had for less than the allocation. In fact, that opens up more spending opportunities in the future.

They would've ended up spending more if JQ had stayed and Bediko would’ve left in time to get someone like Kel’El ware.

KDB wins his first Iron Bowl in a beatdown, Alabama sweeps Auburn en route to the conference title in basketball, Auburn loses in R32 while we make B2B Final Four runs. Would this destroy Auburn athletics? Would that fat sack of shite animal abuser bankrupt himself spending on NIL to try and fix it? We can only hope.

I’m all for destroying them. Nate is well on the way. I didn’t know at the time but Greg Byrne hired my all time favorite coach that day in 2019.
